I have a friend who says she just can't stop smoking, so she asked me for some advice.
She is not religious or anything and sometimes thinks I am strange for my practices and even laughs at my altar!
Therefore, I just thought I would seek a little advice first.
Sure I do my own worship and give thanks and such but not I am sure about doing this for others.
For example, would it be right if I cast a spell for her?
I have only ever done this for me and never to another person, so can anyone offer any advice about this one please.
It would help me in the future I am sure for other things like this that might crop up.

Help Friend To Stop Smoking
Re: Help Friend To Stop Smoking
In my opinion, giving up smoking takes a lot of willpower, and it is up to the individual to make the move.
If your friend asks you to perform a spell, then go ahead, but your friend needs to be receptive.
Unless your friend really wants to give up, then nothing is going to work.
Just maybe the combined forces of a spell and their willpower could help.
Make sure that if you do a spell that you tell your friend of your intentions, though.
Casting spells for others is something I would use with caution.

Just follow your instincts.
If your friend asks for help with a spell then go ahead as you have their consent
I don't see any harm here.

That's what friends are for
However, she is laughing at your altar
Ask your friend to stop the humiliation first and if that doesn't happen, keep your friend at a distance from your religion and rituals.
Give your friend some support in different ways.

Cathy, only do it if you feel comfortable AND above all the other party pleads with you.
Our paths are personal to us and possibly to small groups, so take the job on to help if everyone has mutual respect for each other.
The fact that your friend laughs at your altar means that mutual respect may not be there

Cathy, your friend sounds weird, let them go and find others.

I might just do that, actually.Gold Mist wrote: Sun Mar 17, 2019 5:17 pm Cathy, your friend sounds weird, let them go and find others.
Re: Help Friend To Stop Smoking
If they really want to give up smoking, just tell them to quit.
Really, it's like everything else, we need to know what we want out of life and then summon up the strength to do it.
Stopping smoking is quite simple, and I have seen many who just kick the habit in one go.

Re: Help Friend To Stop Smoking
If your friend can't stop smoking without help from others, then I think it's a non-starter.
They need a little willpower to do this.
Casting spells for others to do something would be wrong in my opinion because what about if your friend is not receptive to outside help?
