Autumn Equinox 2019

[Sky Fall]

Just wondering how you will all spend the day on the Autumn Equinox this year (2019).
This will be on the 23rd of September this year.
There will be equal daylight and equal darkness on this day.
Personally, I get a bit low around this time because of the impending colder weather but we do still manage to get out and about.
The countryside close by can be stunning though with the changing colours.
There's always plenty of fruit to gather in and many other things to collect for the altar etc.

We will celebrate with plenty of wine no doubt.
And since the time of year is one of balance, we will be doing activities to match.
It's also a time when we decorate the graves of the ones in our lives who have passed away with those things that we gather on our walks.
So, what are you all doing on Mabon this year then, how will you be celebrating etc?

Thanks for your submission Sky Fall.
Up to now I have a few family and friends coming round ours.
Hopefully the weather is fine so we can have a small fire at the bottom of the garden with a few drinks.
Nothing much really because everyone is busy at that time but we will be doing something here.

We have the drinks in ready.
If it isn't raining we will have a BBQ in the garden.
I keep meaning to get a patio heater for special occasions but year in, year out I never do.

Up to now I have nothing planned but I am sure come the day we can get something up and running.

This marks the day when we will have more dark than light, I really hate this time of year but only for that!
I will mark this period in time by giving thanks and will definitely overindulge.
