Would Fasting Work For Me?
Although I do reasonably well on my path, I do get slightly confused on some issues.
I have heard that fasting on certain occasions can help leading up to special occasions.
Its not a weight thing as I am neither overweight or underweight, its about building up strength to enable me to cope with the special occasions ahead of me.
So, if anyone has thoughts on this matter I would be grateful.

Would Fasting Work For Me?
Re: Would Fasting Work For Me?
To be honest Cathy, unless there is a medical reason for fasting I would advise against this.
The Goddess and God have provided for us and feasting is a natural thing and it is also necessary.
I believe that what is provided for us are the things that give us the energies we need and that is a daily thing.

Re: Would Fasting Work For Me?
I would never fast for anyone
Re: Would Fasting Work For Me?
No, don't fast.
Re: Would Fasting Work For Me?
Keep eating well because nothing in our religion points to starving yourself.
Food is what keeps us going, however, for weight loss eat slightly less but ensure you have a few meals a day and exercise regularly.
In other words, if you need to lose weight, don't over eat and lounge around all day.
Fasting is not a good idea at all and I can't see any earthly reason why anyone would need to do this.
Starving the body is sustenance is obviously wrong in all ways and is not a natural thing to refuse food when we need it.

I would follow others on here and say that fasting is not the way to go.
Feasting is far better because that's what we do.

No fasting is permitted you need to support a healthy body with nourishment.
