Winter Solstice 2020
It's the 21st of December 2020 and here we go, the Winter Solstice and it coincides with an event not seen for over 800 years
Jupiter and Saturn will appear to be very close even though they are millions of miles apart.
This is called the great conjunction and the last time they were this close (within 0.1 degrees of each other) was in the time of Galileo Galilei in 1623.
But you would have to go back to the 4th of March, 1226, to see a closer alignment.
To see all this I am hoping that the skies clear as it's raining right now.
Look to the South West as it gets dark and will be visible until about 6pm.
Other than this fantastic event, what else are you all up to?
Due to Coronavirus, we are just having a quiet drink in the man cave.
